Monument to Hijikata Toshizo

Hijikata Toshizō (May 31, 1835 – June 20, 1869) was a Japanese warrior. As Vice-Commander (副長, Fukucho) of the Shinsengumi, he resisted the Meiji Restoration. He is one of the most famous warriors of Japan history.
